LIFESTYLE was originally coined by Austrian psychologist Alfred Adler in 1929. The current broader sense of the word dates from 1961. In sociology, a lifestyle is the way a person lives. A lifestyle is a characteristic bundle of behaviors that makes sense to both others and oneself in a given time and place, including social relations, consumption, entertainment, and dress.

In sociology, a Lifestyle is the way a person lives. A Lifestyle is a characteristic bundle of behaviors that makes sense to both others and oneself in a given time and place, including social relations, consumption, entertainment, and dress.

The behaviors and practices within Lifestyles are a mixture of habits, conventional ways of doing things, and reasoned actions. A Lifestyle typically also reflects an individual's attitudes, values or worldview. Therefore, a Lifestyle is a means of forging a sense of self and to create cultural symbols that resonate with personal identity.

A SOCIAL NETWORKING SERVICE is a platform to build social networks or social relations among people who, for example, share interests, activities, backgrounds, or real-life connections. A social network service consists of a representation of each user (often a profile), his/her social links, and a variety of additional services. Most social network services are web-based and provide means for users to interact over the Internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging. Online community services are sometimes considered as a social network service, though in a broader sense, social network service usually means an individual-centered service whereas online community services are group-centered. Social networking sites allow users to share ideas, pictures, posts, activities, events, and interests with people in their network.

A PROFESSIONAL NETWORK service is a type of social network service that is focused solely on interactions and relationships of a business nature rather than including personal, nonbusiness interactions. A professional network service is a way to either find work or get ahead in your career as well as gain resources and opportunities for networking. According to LinkedIn managing director Clifford Rosenberg in an interview by AAP in 2010, "this is really a call to action for professionals to re-address their use of social networks and begin to reap as many rewards from networking professionally as they do personally." Businesses mostly depend on resources and information outside company and in order to get what they need, they need to reach out and professionally network to others, such as employees or clients as well as potential opportunities. By using a professional network service, businesses are able to keep all of their networks up-to-date, in order, and help figure out the best way to efficiently get in touch with each of them. It's hard remembering all of that on your own, so having a service that can do all that helps relieve some of the stress when trying to get things done.

  • Happy Money: The Science of Smarter Spending - by Elizabeth Dunn & Michael Norton. Happy Money offers a tour of new research on the science of spending. Most people recognize that they need professional advice on how to earn, save, and invest their money. When it comes to spending that money, most people just follow their intuitions. But scientific research shows that those intuitions are often wrong. Happy Money explains why you can get more happiness for your money by following five principles, from choosing experiences over stuff to spending money on others. And the five principles can be used not only by individuals but by companies seeking to create happier employees and provide “happier products” to their customers. Elizabeth Dunn and Michael Norton show how companies from Google to Pepsi to Crate & Barrel have put these ideas into action. Along the way, the authors describe new research that reveals that luxury cars often provide no more pleasure than economy models, that commercials can actually enhance the enjoyment of watching television, and that residents of many cities frequently miss out on inexpensive pleasures in their hometowns. By the end of this book, readers will ask themselves one simple question whenever they reach for their wallets: Am I getting the biggest happiness bang for my buck?

  • Why We Spend More For Luxury Watch Brands - "When consumers spend money on most luxury goods, they are, in fact, purchasing two things at once. First, they are purchasing a 'nice object' or service. But that alone doesn’t make anything a luxury good. The second thing consumers are purchasing when getting a luxury good is the brand name on the good. This is a more amorphous area of value but a real one nonetheless. When you buy a brand you are in fact purchasing an association with a concept, feeling, image, or status."

Tinder maintains the first name of the user, and randomly selects 5 photos from the Profile Picture album of the user. The Tinder account can be modified by selecting different Facebook photos to be displayed and adding a short statement. The Tinder app also accesses the user's Facebook "likes" and "friends". When selecting other Tinder users to interact with, the app will show if the other user has any Facebook "friends" or "likes" in common with the user. Tinder users select "like" or "nope" to other users profiles. As the profile contains limited information, Tinder is well known for allowing users to judge other users based on appearance. If two users select "like" for one another, the match is made known to both users. At this point, users gain access to a message system exclusively through the app, allowing users to converse without sharing any extra personal information.
